To all guests of Each Way Hotel:
My name is Eric Keller, I am a student of Arabic in Yemen and a former business owner from the United States. In August of 2008 I spent approximately three weeks in Egypt. My trip was not thoroughly planned before I arrived in Egypt and if it were not for resourcefulness of Alaa Omar and the staff of Each Way Hotel my trip would not have been as memorable or as productive!
First, my stay at Each Way Hotel was excellent; the room was always clean, the staff was friendly and the bathrooms were spotless. Either Alaa or another member of his staff were always on duty and were always available to answer questions or to provide information on traveling in Egypt or on life in Egypt. In addition to the new air conditioners in each room, all of the rooms come with great views of Cairo and some of the rooms have balconies for sitting and taking in the city below.
Second, Alaa took it upon himself to ensure that my trip was exactly how I had envisioned that it would be. We sat together and discussed my interests over tea in the lounge/restaurant portion of the hotel. Alaa organized a five nights and six day trip to Aswan and Luxor as well as a two nights and three day trip to the Black and White Desert. The trips that Alaa arranged for me were all-inclusive and required that I just show up at the train/bus station at the time that Alaa indicated. Alaa made planning trips in Egypt and visiting sites effortless and affordable. Furthermore, Alaa arranged transportation for me around Cairo, Giza, Saqarra, and Memphis. Alaa's willingness to go the extra mile for his guests is what sets him and his establishment apart from the others in Cairo.
Lastly, I would like to personally thank Alaa and his brother Mohammed for being great hosts in Egypt and for making the effort to see that my every need was met.
